Pixar's Renderman Shipshape Challenge
This is an image I made for the Pixar's Renderman Shipshape challenge in 2020. It was very hard for me because I had to learn Maya and Renderman in order to participate (use of Renderman was mandatory and it does not exist in C4D, which is my everyday 3D soft).

The robot, the boat and the butterfly models were given without UVs and we had to use it in any way in our composition. I decided to tell the story of a kid chasing butterflies, with a strong inspiration from studio Ghibli movies.

In the end I didn't win, but got an honorable mention (and learned a lot) and my illustration is displayed on the Pixar's Renderman website. Which is not that bad for a first time in Maya / Renderman :p
